Philosophy of Education

No matter what a child goes through, it’s our job to make sure that they are learning. You can’t judge how a student acts and exclude them. There are students that may have a hostile environment at home or they may just not want to learn but it’s important to open up to them and help these students get something out of education. Teachers are supposed to be giving equal opportunities, not just excluding children they may not like. There are some teachers out there that don’t give those “bad” kids the time of day. That not only breaks them down, but also leads them down the path of destruction that they are on. The kind of energy that you want students to have should be shown in the classroom and also in the way you teach. Education may not be the most high-paying, glorious job out there, but it is one of the most important ones to provide students what they need out in the real world to survive. Educating children can be quite rewarding, if you do it the right way. Teaching is more than standing in front of a classroom and lecturing. It’s connecting with your students and really understanding how you can help them succeed. Getting to know your students on a personal note helps make teaching them more enjoyable. Education is more than just a job; teaching should be your passion. You should want to get up everyday and go teach your class. An important part of being a teacher is to help them learn to love learning. You never know what your students will have in store for you everyday. It will be something different each and every day. You can learn as much from your students as you teach to them. Making yourself seem superior to them is not the way to run your classroom.
